Look 1: Mirror — ₹1,148
The Aaina mirror choker set is an oxidised choker of rectangular mirror plates with bell drops, with matching mirror drop earrings, and at ₹499 it is the least expensive set in the store. Its white-and-silver look goes with all nine Navratri colours. The Toran thread-work kada brings the colour: a wide band of thread embroidery with small mirrors, edged top and bottom with rows of oxidised ghungroo bells that ring on every clap. It comes in five designs — Yellow Pink, Multicolour Diamond, White Pink, Blue Green and Pink Mirror — and is sold as one kada, not a pair. Both pieces carry bells; for a quieter version, swap the kada for the Kesar kamarbandh and the total becomes ₹1,098.
Look 2: Head to hand — ₹1,148
The Neelam choker set is the only set here with a maang tikka as well as a choker and drop earrings, so one purchase dresses the forehead, neck and ears. The choker has turquoise-blue stones and a fringe of silver-tone ghungroo-style beads, ties with an adjustable dori, and comes in Turquoise, Multicolour, Green, Ruby Green and Ruby. The Phoolwari hathphool — a floral bracelet linked to a ring, adjustable and listed at under 10 g — finishes the hand without adding weight. On a fast night, pin the tikka firmly or leave it at home.
Looks 1 and 2
Look 3: Coin and thread — ₹1,248
The Sikka coin thread choker set is a thick braided thread choker with a fringe of oxidised coins and a tie-cord closure, with matching oxidised jhumkas, in Pink or Black. The Kesar kamarbandh is an oxidised waist chain hung with drops, tied with a thread so it adjusts to fit, and worn at the waist over the chaniya choli. Black Sikka with the Orange Black Pompom design of Kesar is a strong pairing for grey night on Saturday 17 October, or against any bright chaniya choli.
Look 4: Thread and mirror — ₹1,298
The Abhla set is hand-worked thread and mirror (abhla), as listed, on a fabric base with a tie-knot cord, plus matching earrings. Each colour is its own design: Multicolour with square motifs and oxidised chandbali earrings, Yellow with cowrie shells, White with rainbow triangles, Red with a bandhani print and cowries, and Purple, Green, Maroon and Royal Blue. You choose by photo, and most of them map onto a Navratri colour. Add Kesar in Multicolour Tassel or Mirror Pompom. Never wet the thread.
Look 5: Classic ghungroo — ₹1,498
The Mor ghungroo combo has three pieces: a ghungroo choker, a long chain with ghungroo clusters and a large pendant of Ganesha flanked by two peacocks, and a pair of large peacock chandbalis. The Morni peacock kada is a heavy carved kada with two facing peacock heads, about 78 g, fastened with a small screw clasp. This is the look for the night you want photographs. Take the long chain off when the dandiya raas speeds up.
Why a set and one extra piece beats lots of small buys
It is tempting to spread a budget across several small things — two pairs of earrings, a few bangles, a ring. For Navratri, the set-plus-one formula works better, for four reasons.
- The set does two jobs at one price. Necklace and earrings arrive matched in scale and finish. The Aaina set, choker and earrings together, costs ₹50 less than the least expensive pair of oxidised earrings we sell.
- The extra piece adds a zone, not a duplicate. A set already includes earrings, and you can only wear one pair at a time. A kada, hathphool or kamarbandh puts jewellery where the set doesn't reach.
- Garba shows off hands and waist. It is a dance of claps and turns, so a kada or hathphool is on view all night, and a kamarbandh moves with every spin of the chaniya.
- Fewer pieces, fewer clashes. Two strong pieces chosen together look deliberate. Six small ones bought separately rarely agree on finish, scale or colour, and there is more to lose on a crowded ground.
If you have never worn a waist chain, how to wear a kamarbandh for Navratri covers fit and placement, and the oxidised garba look explains how to keep one zone loud and the rest quiet.
Which other combinations stay under ₹1,500?
Nearly all of them. Any of the six sets below with any of the four hand or waist pieces stays under ₹1,500, with one exception: the Bhakti mala set with the Morni kada comes to ₹1,598. Use the table to build your own look by colour or neckline.
| Set | + Phoolwari hathphool ₹549 | + Kesar kamarbandh ₹599 | + Toran kada ₹649 | + Morni kada ₹749 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aaina mirror choker set, ₹499 | ₹1,048 | ₹1,098 | ₹1,148 | ₹1,248 |
| Neelam choker set, ₹599 | ₹1,148 | ₹1,198 | ₹1,248 | ₹1,348 |
| Sikka coin choker set, ₹649 | ₹1,198 | ₹1,248 | ₹1,298 | ₹1,398 |
| Abhla thread and mirror set, ₹699 | ₹1,248 | ₹1,298 | ₹1,348 | ₹1,448 |
| Mor ghungroo combo, ₹749 | ₹1,298 | ₹1,348 | ₹1,398 | ₹1,498 |
| Bhakti mala set, ₹849 | ₹1,398 | ₹1,448 | ₹1,498 | ₹1,598 — over budget |
The Bhakti mala set is the long-necklace option: a strand of coloured beads ending in a large round oxidised medallion with leaf drops, about 30.2 cm long and about 119 g, with three-tier oxidised earrings, in Green, Red or Black. It suits round and high necklines a choker can't sit on. At that weight, pair it with the light Phoolwari (₹1,398 together) rather than a heavy kada.
Two more choker sets fit too. The Panna green stone choker set is ₹649, so it totals exactly as Sikka does. The Gulmohar ruby choker set, at ₹949, fits only with the Phoolwari hathphool, at ₹1,498.
The long mala and the heavy kada
What can you get for under ₹1,000?
One complete set. Every necklace set in the oxidised edit is under ₹1,000 and includes matching earrings: Aaina at ₹499, Neelam with its maang tikka at ₹599, Sikka at ₹649, Abhla at ₹699, Mor at ₹749 and Bhakti at ₹849. The least expensive two-piece look, Aaina with the Phoolwari hathphool, is ₹1,048 — just over.
If ₹1,000 is a firm ceiling, buy the set first and add the hand or waist piece later; nothing in these looks has to be bought together, and the table above still applies. The jewellery under ₹999 collection has everything at that price in one place.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good Navratri jewellery set under ₹1,000?
Every necklace set in our oxidised edit is under ₹1,000 and includes matching earrings. The Aaina mirror choker set is the least expensive at ₹499 and works with all nine Navratri colours. The Neelam set, at ₹599, adds a maang tikka, and the Abhla thread and mirror set, at ₹699, comes in a different design for most of the colours.
What jewellery do I need for a complete garba look?
Three zones: neck, ears and either hands or waist. A necklace set covers the first two, because it includes matching earrings, and a kada, hathphool or kamarbandh covers the third. Garba is a dance of claps and turns, so hands and waist are on show far more than they are at most other occasions.
Should I add extra earrings to a necklace set?
No. Each set already comes with earrings proportioned to its necklace, and you can only wear one pair at a time. Spend the rest of the budget on a hand or waist piece instead, which adds a zone the set doesn't cover. Change the earrings only if the set's own pair doesn't suit your face or neckline.
Is delivery free, and can I pay cash on delivery?
Yes to both. Delivery is free on every order, whatever its value, and Cash on Delivery is available. Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days and delivered 4–7 business days after that, so order as early as you can. We can't promise arrival before any particular Navratri night.
Can I wear a kamarbandh with a chaniya choli for garba?
Yes. The Kesar kamarbandh is an oxidised waist chain hung with drops, tied with a thread so it adjusts to your waist, and it sits over the chaniya choli at the waistline. Tie it with a double knot before you start dancing, and choose the Mirror Pompom design if your outfit already has mirror-work.
